Thanksgiving with the Becks

Thanksgiving at the Becks is always a FULL day. Fun and a bit tiring, but always nice and shows us how much we have to be thankful for. Kate started the day getting ready for church:

She was a big hit, but was a bit too excited, so she spent some time in childcare with Janice Swartz. Then she met a bunch of folks after the service:

The extended Beck and Osterberg/Lindseth family traditionally comes over for a big Thanksgiving feast. This year was no different. It was wonderful to see Kate's GREAT grandmothers holding her:

The whole crew:

Thanksgiving 2008 was a 4-generational affair with baby Kate meeting up with Grandma O and Grandma Beck and all the cousins. Things were hectic and great. It was so nice to have a big chunk of the extended family together on such a great day.

Mom was able to have some quite time w/ Kate before the fun started.
The next day EJ brough over his and Tommi's baby girl Riley. She was born on Dan's birthday (Nov 10) and is a perfect little angel. So very very cute. Hopefully she and Kate will become great friends.

Big week for baby!

Kate has been getting stronger and stronger. She is able to keep her head up and do "flying tummy-time".

On November 4th Kate went with Julie to vote! Good job on Obama... sad about Prop 8. This is the "bittersweet" pic.

Julie made Kate's first Mermaid costume. So cute and funny. Kate blasted on the one-zie right before I brought her to work to parade around. But the tail was safe.. and so cute!!

Such a good baby. Mostly smiling w/ just a little crying, but we're all starting to understand each other better.

Seven weeks and getting cuter and cuter!

Little Kate is such a cute little chubber. She is smiling and laughing at stuff. So wonderful to watch her look at stuff and smile and laugh at Julie:

So much fun!

Almost 6 weeks old!

A lot of time has passed since my last posting. Things are good and little Kate has just gotten cuter and funnier (and maybe a bit chubbier).

This morning we shot some video of her while we were trying to make her laugh. We think that she started laughing and smiling w/in the last 24 hours or so. She had been smiling when she was falling asleep, or sometimes in her sleep, but now it looks like she is smiling at Julie and will even laugh when Julie talks baby-talk to her or laughs. (so cute)

Things are going really well, and Kate is doing great! My mom should be here tomorrow and I know that she'll be so happy to hold this little chubby angel.

Three Weeks (and then some)

Watching Dancing with the Stars Monday night. It has been an exciting couple of weeks. Julie's parents came to visit. Her sister and brother in law were also in town. Kate was super sweet.

This was my first day back at work. It was hard to be apart from the little sweetness for so long, but being back w/ the crew at Eleven Inc. made the seperation a lot easier.

Kate's First Bath

Since the grandparents (Julie's parents) are coming to town today, we decided it was time for Kate's first bath. She seemed to really enjoy it, the only part that wasn't so great was getting out of the 'tub.'

Day 9

Things are going well. Julie and the baby have just gotten cuter and cuter. I've also posted more pix to the slideshow.
It looks like the sling is going to be awesome for everyone.
